The Yosemite Valley is nestled in the heart of the Yosemite National Park and accessible by State Highway 120, 140, & highway 41.

The Yosemite Valley is located within the western part of the Yosemite Park. The valley is located about 200 Miles east of San Francisco, it’s about 4 hour driving from San Francisco Bay Area. The Valley is roughly 6 Miles long and less than one mile wide.

The Merced River takes its source in the Yosemite Valley. The River runs through the Yosemite Valley dividing it into north bank and south bank. The flatness of the Yosemite green Valley Floor is in sharp contrast with the surround Giant Granite Cliffs including Half Dome, El Capitan, the three brothers, Cathedral Rocks , among other granite cliffs.

The Yosemite Valley is also home to North America’s highest waterfalls. The 2,425 ft Yosemite Waterfalls are actually three falls in one, the upper fall, the middle fall and the lower fall.

Bridalveil Fall is also a famous destination for hikers all levels. Bridalveil Fall is the first water fall the profiles in the horizon as visitors start winding their road down to the Yosemite valley. Nevada Fall and Vernal Fall are unique but can’t be seen from the Yosemite Valley, An hour hike from the Yosemite Valley Floor is required to see these Giant Waterfalls.
